We are 20 min. from the spectacular scenery, hikes, picnicing spots and Visitors Center at Grayson Highlands State Park.
Abingdon, Va., home of the Historic Barter Theater is 1hr15min. away and offers many fine restaurants, antique shopping, and local arts and crafts.
We are just over a mile from The New River. Canoe and Kayak trips can be arranged or just enjoy a relaxing float down the river on a tube. There is also great fishing to be had in the river, and the many creeks and brooks in the area.
The Galax Fiddlers Convention is the premier showcase for Oldtime and Bluegrass musicians to show what they got. It attracts musicians and music lovers from all over the world.

Our own local music legend Wayne Henderson hosts his own festival every spring in Grayson Highlands State Park. Great music in an intimate, beautiful setting.
